Accuracy
The more often you have to key something, the more likely you are to make a mistake.
With our Costing sheet and the ability to template or copy transactions, once you
are happy with your data, you can save it and reuse it.
By storing key information in tables, you can lookup and retrieve details like
names and addresses of customers, Insurance companies, banks, shipping lines and
products.
If a customer or import regulations require special wording on a document, store
it as a template and reuse it for the next shipment - no chance of forgetting to
add it this way or having to enter the same data repetitively!
Efficiency
EA can help you eliminate wasteful double entry of data and save you money in the
process.
- Information keyed into the costing sheet is automatically transferred
to all relevant documents
- Costing sheet alerts the operator if inappropriate Incoterms 2000 are
used for the mode of transport
- Standard Templates for transactions to regular customers can be defined,
enabling you to fast track document preparation. Simple archiving procedure
reduces database clutter leaving current transactions only.
- Existing transactions can be duplicated to make new consignments.
- Warning messages alert the operator when Credit Risk Insurance, Letter
of Credit or Marine Insurance limits have been exceeded
Errors in documents can cost you and your customers:
- Delay in clearing goods through Customs
- Storage fees
- Time
- Loss of sales/customers
- Delay in payment
Our user-friendly interface and advanced template functionality will help
minimize errors and save you time. You can even generate pdf files for
e-mailing!
Simplicity
EA uses a simple point and click interface. Fields are colour coded so
you know which ones need data. Document and field titles can be changed
in the individual document to suit specific requirements.
On line tutorials and operator’s manual all make the user’s task quick and simple
Uniqueness
EA uses an integrated costing sheet, linked to individual consignees
and transactions, as the basis for the data in the respective documents
for each consignment, which is structured to use the Incoterms 2000
international trade terms format. This data flows through every document
that contains a similar field. Much of the data is already contained in
tables and saves time in document preparation. Packing List weights,
measurement and package quantities are automatically calculated and have
a unique package numbering program incorporated.
No other documentation package integrates in this way.
Helpful tools such as an online reference to the international trade
terms Incoterms 2000, linked to individual terms, and an interactive
help screen are available at a click of the mouse or the F1 key.
International Acceptance
EA has been designed to conform to the United Nations Layout Key for
Trade Documents, an internationally accepted document standard approved
by UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission on International Trade Law).
This ensures that your documents will be easily understood and will meet
international requirements.
Customs and other import authorities, banks, shipping companies, airlines,
freight forwarders and your customers all find this format easier to read.
The layout is clear, concise and data flows through to similar fields located
in the same area on each document.
The easier it is to find the required information, the less likely it is
that your shipment will encounter problems!
